UPDATE: In responce to the article below on drugs

Oh dear oh dear.
I really didn’t see this comming to be honest, just the obvious way of silencing someone with scientific facts that go against the grain of personal moral and political agendas.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8334774.stm

Nutt has been sacked for his comments, it’s amazing how the Home Secretary can claim to have “lost faith” in the gentleman’s ability to advise when all they did in the first place was fucking ignore him. From my point of view it’s a classic case of:

“We know you’ve got the evidence that backs up your claims and have proven the result in a scientifically controlled test, however, these facts contradict with our own personal opinions, so we’re going to sack you”.

“Public concern over the links between high-strength cannabis, known as skunk, and mental illness led the government to reclassify cannabis to Class C last year.”

Er… hang on a second, two things here. I’m fairly sure the BBC have fucked up royally here, the drug WAS class C and it was reclassified to B. Also as someone has just pointed out to me, where exactly was this so called public concern and how was it expressed? Have I failed to notice a giant campaign with a petition going round?

Was there a vote that happened that no one seems to know about? Public concern my fucking asshole, that’s just made up bullshit. I was concerned when it went back up to Class B for no particular reason meaning someone could face 5 years inside for possession; that’s fucking cause for concern.

I lost faith in the government pretty badly when they got elected in the first place, not to mention when an unelected PM suddenly steps into the post unchallanged. Things like this however, just add to the pile quite nicely. So anyway, lets ignore the scientific evidence about what drugs actually do to people, sack the poor frustrated Professor that attemps to actually tell the truth about the matter, stick our fucking heads back in the sand, stop questioning things and bow down to the almighty out of touch, bent, corrupt labour government and their unelected leader.

It’s strange that I did plenty of weed in my teenage years and in university and I managed to grow up into a good citizen that pays their taxes and works a normal job. I’ve managed to avoid a criminal record nicely by er… not breaking the law. Can’t really see how me enjoying a joint behind closed doors and giggling a bit is really anyone elses business in the fucking first place, but there we go, lets all go get pissed until we can’t see anymore eh?

Top scientific adviser to the government Mr Nutt clearly agrees with my viewpoint, the government do not. SO WHY EMPLOY PEOPLE IN THE FIRST PLACE TO GIVE YOU ANSWERS IF YOU’RE JUST GOING TO FUCKING IGNORE THEM WHEN YOU DON’T LIKE THE ANSWER.

Strange that the majority of the bent as fuck politicians clearly stay away from drugs but still manage to commit crime after crime, avoid prison and then somehow get promoted and put back into a position of further power. How the fuck Mandelson is allowed anywhere near parliament with his track record is simply dumbfounding, the guy is an out and out criminal.

So I guess for that matter, power is quite a strong drug too and left unregulated like it is corrupts people far worse than some chemicals ever will.
